Key Responsibilities:
- Data Entry: Input financial transactions, invoices, receipts, and other accounting data into designated software systems, spreadsheets, or databases.
- Accuracy and Quality Control: Ensure that all entered data is accurate, complete, and properly coded. Verify information for discrepancies and resolve any issues or inconsistencies.
- Documentation: Maintain organized and up-to-date records of financial transactions, receipts, invoices, and other relevant documents.
- Reconciliation: Assist in reconciling financial statements, bank statements, and other accounts to ensure accuracy and identify any discrepancies or errors.
- Confidentiality: Handle sensitive financial information with the utmost confidentiality and adhere to data protection and privacy policies.
- Communication: Collaborate with other team members, such as accountants or finance personnel, to clarify information, resolve issues, and ensure accurate and timely data entry.
- Reporting: Generate reports and summaries of financial data as required by management or accounting personnel.
- Compliance: Follow established accounting policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement in data entry procedures and suggest solutions to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Education: SPM/STPM/Diploma or equivalent. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
- Data Entry Skills: Proficient in data entry with a high degree of accuracy and speed. Strong attention to detail is essential.
- Computer Proficiency: Comfortable working with accounting software, spreadsheets, and databases.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to organize and maintain detailed records of financial transactions and documents.
- Confidentiality: Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive financial information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
- Communication: Effective written and verbal communication skills to collaborate with team members and clarify information.
- Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage time efficiently.
- Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills to identify errors, inconsistencies, and implement appropriate solutions.
- Experience: Prior experience in data entry or a similar role in an accounting or finance environment is preferred but not mandatory.
