The Vitrolife Group is recruiting a Group Sustainability Controller to provide proactive decision support and recommendations by the development and analysis of sustainability data and performance indicators. He/she drives the development of our work to reach set sustainability targets - particularly for the area of GHG emissions reduction.
The key focus of the position is the collection, analysis, and reporting of sustainability data for both internal and external stakeholders, making sure the company advances on its sustainability ambitions while being compliant with current and upcoming regulations.
About the role:
The role is be based at our headquarters in Gothenburg, Sweden, and as an international company Valencia, Spain, could be an option. Working under the guidance of, and in tight collaboration with, the Group Sustainability Business Partner, the role will report to the SVP HR & Sustainability. Occasional travel may be required.

Key responsibilities:
- Accountability for sustainability KPIs disclosure and reporting, including for the setting up of the sustainability data collection architecture for the Group.
- Collaborating across teams to collect all relevant sustainability data while identifying areas to improve sustainability performance, especially when it comes to GHG emissions reduction.
- Monitoring sustainability regulations and international initiatives to make sure the Vitrolife Group is complying proactively and timely.
- Guided by our sustainability strategy, support in ad hoc sustainability projects, such as the implementation of our supply chain sustainability due diligence framework.
- You will be making a difference when it comes to guiding the organization to reaching our ambitious environmental targets.
- While the position will have a strong environmental focus, you will be involved in other projects that will impact a broad portfolio of sustainability areas, as well as the value chain: you are proactive and solution oriented when it comes to learning and thinking about complex challenges.
We are keen to receive your application if
- You have a degree in engineering, environmental sciences, biotechnology or a similar scientific field
- You have knowledge and/or strong interest in GHG accounting and emissions reduction strategies, including lifecycle assessment methods.
- You stay on top of the latest developments in international ESG standards and regulations
- You are data-driven and proficient in Excel. Phyton and programming skills would as well be regarded positively.
- You are a strong communicator in English – Swedish, Spanish and/or other languages will be a plus.
- You are a team player, with an ”always forward” mindset, bringing your whole self to work. You are joining a team on a mission, and we will welcome you with enthusiasm and an uplifting sense of fun at work!
- Ideally, you have experienced what it means to work in a global and complex organization, where several countries and business areas need to come together to contribute to Group sustainability targets. We value life sciences exposure and/or interest, as well as a first sustainability or financial auditing experience.
